LGV mechanic with experience in refrigerated transport

Permanent position. Full time.

Role Summary:
Munster van center is a leading Irish company engaged in the sale of vans and refrigerated vehicles, located in Cahir Co Tipperary.
As part of our expansion, we are looking for a mechanic, preferably with experience in refrigerated transport (but not essential), to inspect and service vans for sale.
The position will be based in our workshop in Cahir with occasional mobile service/breakdown, etc.

Role:
- Responsibility for routine servicing and repairs as required, diagnosing mechanical and electrical faults, and all other duties associated with this role.
- Performing all assigned daily tasks.
- Ensuring work is always at the highest standard.
- Proficiency in computer and diagnostic equipment usage.
- Ability to prioritize and organize work to meet deadlines and KPIs.
- Maintaining good relationships with clients and colleagues.

Ideal candidate:
- English language - communicative.
- Be an enthusiastic, motivated team player.
- Qualifications to work on diesel engines.
- Qualifications to work on refrigeration systems in transport (preferred but not essential).
- Work at a high level of efficiency and productivity on your own initiative.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience working with LGV vehicles (preferable also refrigerated vans).
- Holding qualifications to F-Gas Cat 1 standard (not necessary, as training can be arranged).
- Be prepared to work 40 hours a week with occasional calls for mobile service outside of working hours.
- Possess a clean category B driving license.
- Be prepared to relocate to Ireland or commute to work (assistance will be provided in finding accommodation and relocation from the UK and other European countries).

Qualifications:
- City & Guilds Level 1 and 2 in Mechanical/Engineering and Refrigeration (motor vehicle engineering).
- Qualifications to work with refrigerants (not essential but welcome).
- F Gas Cat 1 certificate.
- Soldering certificate.
