TECHNICAL SPECIALIST

Montek is an Irish start-up focusing on strategic sourcing for the Construction Industry in Ireland from Europe and further afield. We are keen to hear from confident people with a construction / design / engineering background who are fluent in any of the following languages - Polish, Czech, Slovakian, Lithuanian or Latvian or Hungarian with reasonable proficiency in English. These are not sales roles as we have a strong pipeline of orders to fulfil.

A fantastic opportunity has arisen for several highly motivated Technical Specialists to join our team based in Cork or home based.

Duties & Responsibilities:

New vendor discovery, negotiation, contract creation and completion.
Ensuring that the products meet EU legal guidelines, environmental directives, and health and safety requirements.
Responsible for organising the logistics for our clients.
Responsibility for handling technical queries.
Meeting with key vendors in the relevant Country.
Product research to enable new offerings in the Irish market.
Build and maintain long-term relationships with foreign suppliers.

The ideal candidates will:

Be qualified and experienced in Construction, Architecture, Building Services, Engineering (Mechanical and Electrical) or Logistics.
Skilled in product / technical research and is both curious and has a problem-solving mindset.
Minimum 2 years’ industry experience in design / procurement / construction.
Previous project experience, including some medium to large scale projects across commercial, residential, healthcare, or mixed-use developments is desirable.
Previous site experience as well as knowledge of materials, methods, and the tools involved in the construction or repair of buildings and structures.
Are you fluent in any of the following languages - Polish, Czech, Slovakian, Lithuanian or Latvian or Hungarian?
A good understanding and experience in Irish or UK building regulations.
A good understanding of the requirements of Building Control (BCAR) regulations.
Ability to prioritise & organise efficiently as well as being inquisitive and persistent.
Possess excellent communication and organisational skills with strong attention to detail.
Working knowledge of MS Office - Word, Excel, Power Point and Outlook.

25 days annual leave.
10% travel to European Countries.
