SOUS CHEF

RESPONSIBILITIES: To manage and supervise all kitchen staff; To maintain a good reporting relationship with the head Chef; To ensure the maintenance of the highest standards of healthy food storage, preparation and presentation in accordance with the food Hygiene Regulations, HACCP/HIQA; Meeting the demands of special diets as may be required by the residents; Ensure that all duties are carried out in an efficient manner within departmental procedures; To adhere to the requirements of appropriate legislation including the Safety Health and Welfare at work Act 2005. JOB REQUIREMENTS: Ability to work on an alternative shift basis across seven days (40 hours per week + two weekends); 2 years previous experience in a large Kitchen; Must have eligibility to work in Ireland; Previous experience in elderly care is desirable; All job offers are subject to Garda vetting; Fluent written and spoken English.
